Honest Pick Reviews started in 2019 with one frustration: the internet had become a sea of "best of" lists written by people who'd never touched the products they were recommending. We thought we could do better. Six years and 1,240 product tests later, we're still trying.
What we do
We buy products. We use them. We compare them to their competitors. Then we tell you what we found — including the parts the brands wish we wouldn't mention.
Every review on this site is built on the same workflow: research what readers care about, buy multiple competing products, test them side by side for weeks, and publish what we'd tell a friend asking for advice. No press junkets, no sponsored placements, no review units from PR firms.
How we're funded
Reader-supported affiliate commissions. When you buy a product we recommend, the retailer pays us a small fee at no extra cost to you. That's how we keep the site running and keep our reviews free for everyone.
We've turned down every "partnership" pitch from brands wanting to influence coverage. We don't accept free products. We don't run sponsored articles. If we ever change any of that, you'll see it on this page first.
Read the full affiliate disclosure for details.
Who's behind this
A small team of writers, testers, and editors based across the US and UK. We come from backgrounds in consumer journalism, engineering, and (yes) marketing — but the marketing folks now use that knowledge mostly to spot when a product launch is hype.

We're deliberately small. We'd rather publish 50 thorough reviews a year than 500 shallow ones.
Our standards
- We buy every product we review. No exceptions.
- We test for weeks, not hours. Real-world use reveals what a single afternoon never will.
- We compare head-to-head. A product can't be "the best" if we haven't tried its competitors.
- We publish negatives. If a product is bad, we say so — even when there's an affiliate program available.
- We correct mistakes openly. When we get something wrong, we update the review with a visible note.
- We don't accept brand edits. Companies don't see our drafts. Period.
